The goal of the Culture Mapping San Diego project is to assess the needs and offerings of San Diego's Black, Indigenous, Southeast Asian, and MENA arts and culture practitioners and organizations. In addition we are in the process of creating a comprehensive list of these orgs and individuals from the communities listed above. The findings and the results are being shared with media outlets, arts organizations, and govt agencies to increase visibility and opportunities. In addition the list and data drop will be used to connect organizations and individual artists with donors and other funding sources. The first artist cohort of mapping was open to entities focusing on visual arts and performing arts based in San Diego County and surrounding areas.
